Notes!
1. A very slightly tweaked version of the old one that

my_cnnr posted, because tiny flaws were making me twitch. :P
2. An alternate format that defeated me back when I was a Photoshop newbie, but I was able to pull off now!
3. Made using Wordle on some text from the first chapter, plus some tweaking and manipulation in Photoshop.
4. Randomly inspired after seeing the image used, La Lecture by Federico Zandomeneghi. My apologies to the males around here for their lack of representation in this thing!

These are just wonderful!

I've always liked the concept in #1 and #2 - its funny and sweet - but that the covers are real covers is just brilliant! #3 is fresh and suits the new page layout nicely ( and I think its my favourite, too) and #4 is just ...us!

Thank you - this is a lovely start to the cbc!

_{I understand about the PS noob thing, too - but TR tells me to expect it - a learning thing, you know.}

I'm also glad you like the Belle concept, hee! And the covers just had to be the real covers; it simply wouldn't look as good any other way. XD And thanks for your compliments on 3 and 4, too; I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that that painting was perfect for this group.

I'm slowly but surely teaching myself by trial and error! The main problem now is the near-impossibility of duplicating results... XD

Hee, thanks a lot! The third was an experiment and the fourth was spur-of-the-moment, so I'm glad to hear they came out well!

Just an fyi... #3 saved as jpeg is apparently one KB too large for LJ Userpics to handle. I resaved it as png, and am posting with it here in case anyone wants to snag it. (and because I like it!)

Eeep! Thanks for the alert and the ingenious solution. Very strange, though--I tried saving it as a userpic just now and it worked. In any case, I hope that if anyone encounters the same problem they'll see your solution!

Also, whee! I get to see one of my icons in action already! :D
